It appears the link is now broken.

As for your view that it is "derogatory" and "achieves very little"--I simply disagree.

It does no good to gloss over the fact that some of us have not quite mastered the principle of charity and/or not being judgmental of superficial appearances. The truth is that some of us ARE hypocrites, at least at times. Jesus used some of his harshest criticism for the hypocrisy of the "church folk".

It DOES do good to learn from bad examples so that we commit to being better disciples in the future. Case in point--the parable of the Good Samaritan. ("Church" folk weren't exactly the best example of loving their neighbor in that parable either.)Clean Cuthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08383123314458721660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3920640965536781054.post-28222397420971776252012-01-15T07:47:45.464-06:002012-01-15T07:47:45.464-06:00Thank you.

But like everyone else (whether in a church or not) I know one will be able to find all types among the Mormons--the very judgmental but also the least judgmental.

As the saying goes: "Be the change you want to see in the world". This is a good reminder of the kind of person I want to be. In the process I hope I (along with my fellow Saints) continue to recognize the virtue of tolerance--both among ourselves and with those outside of our faith.Clean Cuthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08383123314458721660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3920640965536781054.post-91819522927768084162010-01-26T13:38:28.777-06:002010-01-26T13:38:28.777-06:00reposted because I left out a word or two! :)

I am an ex mormon... my parents are still very mormon and raised me to be a kind and thoughtful, they haven't judged me at all and I'm thankful for that. I will be following your blog!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14657807221538151809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3920640965536781054.post-2542991835495820412010-01-26T13:36:48.913-06:002010-01-26T13:36:48.913-06:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14657807221538151809noreply@blogger.com
