Christ is a great Savior

Sometimes I struggle to figure out what it is "I know" and what it is "I believe". But to paraphrase one of my favorite movies, Amazing Grace, there are two things I know for certain: I am a great sinner, and Christ is a great Savior.

I have hope in Christ. I have hope he can even help me overcome myself. And that's a sincere testimony. There's a lot of truth to the saying that Christ's Church is not a museum of Saints, but rather a hospital for sinners.

When people say, "Christians? Why would I want to go there? The church is full of hypocrites."

I say, no that's a lie; come on by, there's plenty of room...

There are fewer and fewer things in my life that I hang onto as absolute truth. I am seeing more and more gray. That being said, knowing God by doing my best to follow him has become among the few things that I have held onto as true.

Abraham Lincoln said, “When I do good I feel good, when I do bad I feel bad, that’s my religion.”

Recently, I was listening to Colette Call's Power in His Touch album. The "If you believe in Love" song particularly gets to me. I know that my life will not have any worth without Jesus. He is the source of all that is good anywhere including inside me.
